Ingredients 1/4 cup pomegranate juice, store bought is fine, plus seeds for garnish 1/3 cup Tequila Blanco (about 4 ounces) 1/8 cup Triple Sec (about 1-ounce) 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 ounces) 12 ounces ice cubes Margarita salt, optional Directions Combine all ingredients, except salt, in a blender and pulse until frothy and well combined. Rim glasses with lime juice using a lime wedge then dip in margarita salt, drop some fresh pomegranate seeds in the bottom of the glass and pour margarita mix over the top.
Ruby Red Margarita
Ingredients 1 wedge Ruby Red grapefruit Coarse kosher salt 6 ounces tequila 1/3 cup Ruby Red vodka 1/4 cup simple syrup 1 cup Ruby Red grapefruit juice, freshly squeezed or from a carton 1/4 freshly squeezed lime juice 4 cups ice cubes 2 crosswise slices Ruby Red grapefruit, cut into quarters Directions Use the wedge of grapefruit to rub the rims of 6 margarita glasses with grapefruit juice. Dip the rims in the kosher salt to coat. Set aside as you prepare the margaritas. Place the tequila, vodka, simple syrup, grapefruit juice, lime juice and ice in a bar blender and puree until smooth. Divide the margarita between 6 glasses and garnish with the grapefruit quarters.
Ingredients For the Mango Margarita Mix: 1 1/4 pounds fresh mangoes 1 cup water 1/2 cup sugar Gray salt For the drink: 3 cups ice 1 1/2 cups Mango Margarita Mix 4 ounces tequila 2 ounces triple sec Lime wedges Mint Salt, recipe follows Directions Peel and pit the mangoes and cut them into large chunks. Place the mango in a blender with the water, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Blend until smooth. Taste and add more sugar, if necessary. Fill the blender with ice and add the Mango Margarita Mix, tequila, and triple sec. Blend until smooth. Rub the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge and dip into Mint Salt to coat rim. Fill glass and enjoy! Mint Salt: 1 cup fresh mint leaves 1 cup gray salt or coarse sea salt Clean and dry mint and roughly chop. With a mortar and pestle, crush equal parts fresh mint and salt. Yield: about 1 cup salt
Directions Puree 3 cups strawberries, 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur, 1/3 cup fresh lime juice, 3/4 cup tequila (preferably anejo), 2 tablespoons honey and a pinch of salt in a blender. Add 3 cups ice and blend until smooth. Divide among 4 stemmed glasses; garnish with strawberries dipped in sugar.
Passion Fruit Margarita
Combine 1 cup tequila, 1 cup passion fruit nectar, 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur, 2 teaspoons superfine sugar and a pinch of salt in a cocktail shaker. Shake well, then pour into 4 short glasses filled with crushed ice. Rub the rims with lime wedges, then add to the drink.
